A love potion on Valentine's Day ๐Ÿ’–โœจ what are your favorite aphrodisiac herbs?
Starting to feel the shift towards Spring. ๐Ÿ’ฎ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ’ Excited to have even a small backyard now, it's been many years since I've had an outdoor space. Thinking about seeds and starts and also new beginnings in my life in various ways.

Sometimes our wildest creations come from natural inspiration,
This gossamer web, a perfect ushering in of autumn and all the festivities that come with it. Reminding us the veil is thin, sometimes it's easy to get caught in the dreams this time of year, and the spirits that visit us. It's time to shed old layers, build new webs, make new connections, look within. See through it all. Hope you had a lovely autumnal equinox! ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ

Clematis spp. remind me of my grandma's garden. It's often used as a decorative plant. She used to have a vine in her backyard and a vine going around the lamp post/mailbox. It's known to some as "queen of the vines." It's in the same family as aconites, anemones, buttercups, peonies, and hellebores--the Ranunculaceae family.
Seeing and holding this dear one brings me so much happiness. Queen Anne's Lace (Daucus carota) is not one I've seen often in the Bay Area, but I grew up loving this plant so much. It grows abundantly in fields and along roads in Ohio. I grew up going to nature camp every year, and this is one of the first wild edibles I ever tried. We picked them and fried them up in a batter with powdered sugar on top. I remember it tasting like funnel cake, and being in awe that such a beautiful plant I'd always loved was also edible and all around me. I attribute a lot of my fascination with wild plants to this one. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’š
